Another move

Now we live in Union Grove, Wisconsin in the south east corner of the state.  We are about 20 miles from our childhood homes.   It is good to be back where I know something about the countryside.  All of the sheep came with us and continue to do well.    Their situation is not perfect yet, but it is improving as time goes on.

Winter

Winter is here, and we shall have snow, and what will poor robin do then?

Another day in the country

Yesterday my computer quit.  Today I have a new lap top.  What a hoot!!  Learning all this new stuff is difficult for my old mind.   Haven't been able to figure out how to use the old blogger account, and now I don't know if this will show up on Blogger.  I hope so. What's new?  We are going to be moving again.  I can't believe it.  It is so much work.  We will be living in Racine County just north of Union Grove in an odd looking " duplex" with Jake's son, Matt, and  his wife, Chris.  It is a farm, and father and son will farm together.  This will be great for both of them. I will end this now and wait and see if it gets published.

Life as it is..........

Life as it is ....is different.  Not so much for us here.   We are a pair of hermits married to each other.   The farm is different.   The sheep are here and probably pregnant.  Their lambs aren't due until Memorial Day because of the move.

Beginning blogging again

My booth at the Sparta Farmers' Market in Sparta, Wisconsin.   It is a new venture that started last summer.   It won't be going on for too long in the future because we are moving.  The farm is sold, and we are purchasing a new place near Madison outside of Deerfield.   It is much smaller and more manageable plus it is two hours closer to Bridget's daughters and Jake's mother.  The sheep and a few cows will go with us because with 31 acres, we can manage to keep them.   Maybe now I can keep up the blog, but maybe not.

Where Have You Been All My Life?

Blogger forgot I even existed since I haven't posted in almost four years.   I am back again.   I don't really know why.   Things are about the same as they were four years ago.   I am just four years older and not enjoying that.   I still have my Shetland sheep.  There are a whole bunch of them right now since seventeen lambs were born this spring.  There is a total of 15 adult sheep,  13 ewes and two rams. Inside there are still two cats and four dogs.  The dogs are the same ones I had back in 2015, but the one of the two cats is a new one. We are still living on a decrepit farm up a dead-end road in southwestern Wisconsin.  We are trying to sell the farm in order to buy something else nearer to the town where we grew up.  Jake's children and two granddaughters live there.
